In light of the recent COVID-19 update, we want to let you know about how Legacy Youth Zone will continue to follow safety protocols by adhering to social distancing measures that have been put in place. We will continue to keep you updated through our social platforms with any substantial changes, ensuring you are kept up to date with how we are responding to the new protocols put in place.
Thanks to our supporters, we have been able to give out thousands of food packages to the community, resources such as brand-new laptops with Wi-Fi to young people which will help them continue and engage with their schoolwork.
• Legacy Youth Zone will continue to be a support in the community with its resources during this time, whilst at the same time keeping our young people safe.
• Croydon council have supported Legacy with a mandate to stay open within the guidance that the government have implemented.
WE’RE ONLINE! | #YZatHome
Legacy will continue to create regular online content that will engage with you and other young people, this will help keep in regular contact and interaction during this time.
We are still online with weekly challenges, activities, talks, live sessions, fitness, cooking and so much more. It’s like we never left the building! Our aim is to continue engaging, inspiring and motivating young people through our platforms, ensuring we are helping to make this process a little bit better for everyone. We have partnered up Youth Zones across the OnSide Youth Zone network to continue to keep young people engaged online using the hashtag #YZatHome. There are network wide competitions, activities and live channels.
We have set up an email for young people to get in touch which the Legacy team, #Greenteam can respond to, it is Talk2us@Legacyyouthzone.org
We provide information with details important information about contact details of Shout and The Mix on our Website as well as other useful hacks and to make sure you’re okay during this time.
We are still keeping in touch with members to touch base via phone to check in.
Keep being positive, we are in this together, and we can get through it together.
The health, safety and wellbeing of young people, staff, volunteers, visitors and those in the wider community is our top priority and we will continue to do what we can to support those around us.
This does also mean that we will not be running during normal session time until further notice.
